You know that Windows offers so many icons to use them in folder.
Everyone uses them. So, do something different from them. Today I am
going to show you how a normal image (.png or .jpg or.gif) can be used
as an icon so that you can make fool your friends.
You cannot set
an image as your icon by browsing from change icon arena since your
system will not shore that up. You have to convert your image in .ico
format to be supported. Though there are so many web converters but you
can make use of an offline tool which is known as Quick Any2ICO. This is the easiest converter and not yet so time spender.
How to use any image as icon using Quick Any2ICO?
As
usual this is also easy to execute. As it is a portable application,
you just have to run it instead of installing. Therefore you can find
the following screen;
Browse
the source file and destination. You can also choose the size (in px).
Currently it offers 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64 and so on. Your single
icon will be changed according to your icon view.
After converting your image in .ico, go to the Properties of any folder. Navigate to Change Icon and browser your converted image. Select that and appy it.
That’s all you have to do.
